With so much information available, it is important to be able to understand the process of egg donation in a simple manner.
Our fertility clinics have completed thousands of treatments, making each a unique experience according to the characteristics of the donor. We’d like to explain what the process is in a few simple steps before you make a decision with regard to the beginning of your donation.
It is important that you understand that the donation involves a process of medical screening. Not all potential donors are selected. As with any medical treatment there are risks associated with egg donation. Before signing a contract on egg donation you are entitled to receive specific information about the treatment. NEVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING A PHYSICIAN AND AN ATTORNEY.
BASICS CONCEPTS
Read the following steps carefully. If you have any questions do not hesitate to call us, our team is ready to serve you intimately and anonymously. Whether you prefer intelligent candidates, candidates without family history of genetic diseases or candidates of any ethnicity or culture, through a short questionnaire, you will know in a moment if they can be selected.
WHO CAN BE AN EGG DONOR?
Any woman between the ages of 21 and 29 years old with proper muscle mass index, high levels of health and no history of genetic disorders can be an egg donor. These women must adhere to FDA regulations on human tissue donation. Finally you must have a flexible schedule to attend medical appointments and strictly follow the instructions of the doctor. If you are currently following a birth control plan you can continue the same until there is an established contractual relationship with the prospective parents. If you are currently on a medical treatment plan, it must be confirmed with the fertility clinic that the treatment does not interfere with the donation process. Most D.I.U. does not exclude you from participation in the program.
ECONOMIC COMPENSATION
It’s never easy to talk about money. For the first donation process you will receive a minimum of $ 8,000 and $ 10,000. THIS IS NOT A MAXIMUM PRICE. The choice of donor is performed by the intended parents so this price is negotiated with them in terms of the exceptional qualities that the donor offers (physical traits, IQ, history of successful pregnancies, etc.). Donors of ethnic minority whose location is not as easily accessible can lead to higher compensation rates. The terms of compensation negotiated between the parents and the donor include medical, travel, and accommodation fees.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT THE FORM?
Once you submit the form we will review it and contact you within two business days. During our first call will gladly take the opportunity to answer any questions that you may have and we give you a full explanation in detail about the process. You will then receive some documents that must be reviewed and approved. We partner with fertility clinics available in most countries to administer the appropriate psychological, intelligence and personality tests required. Intended parents seeking a donor want to find one with similar physical characters to themselves. We will put together a portfolio for you including some personal pictures you may wish to include as well as a photo-shoot we will provide. This portfolio is to give the intended parents a little more insight into you and become more familiar with you before they make a decision. If you want we can also create a video for you. In most cases, intended parents are seeking personality traits that are similar to themselves and a video can be a great way to convey more information to them.
HOW LONG DOES THE SELECTION PROCESS TAKE?
Your profile will be stored in a secure database where intended parents have access for a limited time. Typically, the more information you provide for us to offer on the database the faster the selection process goes. As mentioned above, a video profile of yourself and your family photographs, reports about your grades will help increase your chances of being selecting over other candidates. We all want to give our children the best qualities. Beauty, intelligence and empathy are some that are very strongly valued. Your anonymity is protected but you are free to get in contact with the intended parents if both parties agree. You can also allow us to include your listing in our international database which is available to people around the world. If you like to travel this is a method for visiting new places at no cost to you. You can also opt for single donation in your state.
IMPORTANT THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
The process takes between 2-4 months since your selection as an egg donor. If you are concerned about the medical risks we will happily address any apprehensions you have at all times. You will be provided with the best care, but like any medical process it involves a risk. We recommend a period of abstinence of 3 to 4 weeks before extraction. If the experience has been morally and economically satisfactory to you, you can opt for new donations waiting between each two regular period’s cycles. Again, your donation can be completely anonymous and you do not need to have a relationship with the intended parents. Your true identity will never be disclosed and your name will appear as a pseudonym. Your generosity will always be appreciated with fair compensation. Before starting any process intended parents have deposited with the agency the amount of your expenses and compensations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
If you have a sexual relationship with another person or people, you must ensure precautions be taken to prevent the transmission of diseases. The extraction process is not painful and doesn’t require you to be hospitalized. If you want, you can be sedated to avoid discomfort. Throughout the process you are protected by an insurance policy. Some women may experience minor discomfort after the extraction but this is rare and depends on the characteristics of each person. Not all women react the same way during and after the process. Doctors will perform tests and screenings to determine the appropriate path and make this a simple, comfortable experience for you. Financial situation are a strong motivation for donors, however our number one priority is providing donors who are completely dedicated to producing new life for those who are not fortunate enough to do so on their own.
